Would give it 6 stars if I could! The food was outstanding, the staff are AWESOME & the environment & atmosphere is chic but relaxed. Definitely worth a try if you haven’t been yet!
-1 star for some grit in the romaine lettuce in the caesar salad and no Savanah or cider options. Your wine serving is also a tad mean for R115 per glass; I know you think it is quite elegant to serve only 125ml of wine per glass, but sorry this is not Europe. We had the tuna ceviche (not bad), steak tartare (a winner) and caesar salad (great, except for the bit of grit in the romaine) for lunch - most enjoyable! The venue offers stunning views of the city and Table Mountain.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Veu, Cape Town's newest culinary gem, and it was an amazing experience. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the team was welcoming and friendly, the view of Table Mountain was stunning, especially at sunset and the culinary journey that unfolded left us utterly speechless. We kicked off our evening with a selection of starter plates that set the tone for the gastronomic delight that awaited us. The Carpaccio, undoubtedly the star of the show, was a symphony of flavors and textures that left our taste buds singing. The thinly sliced, perfectly marbled meat paired perfectly with a delicate drizzle of the most delicious sauce. I wish I had written down what was in it! The oysters where perfect and the tuna ceviche was stunning. On mains, we indulged in both the steak and lamb chops and the fish, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The steak was cooked to perfection, boasting a mouthwatering char on the outside while maintaining a juicy and tender interior. The lamb chops, a true masterpiece, were grilled to a succulent perfection that had me savoring every moment. The adventure continued with a journey through The Veu's cocktail menu. Each drink was a work of art, expertly crafted and well-balanced. From refreshing infusions to bold and innovative combinations, the cocktails complemented our meal seamlessly, elevating the overall dining experience. And let's not forget about the beer :)– the Devil's Peak IPA was the perfect companion to our culinary feast. Served ice-cold, it was a refreshing palate cleanser that enhanced the flavours of the lamb chops. Beyond the exquisite fare, the service at The Veu was top-notch. The owners spent time supporting their staff with personalised service and we felt extremely welcome. The staff exuded warmth and professionalism, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was impeccable. The Veu is a culinary haven in the heart of Cape Town. With its superbly crafted dishes, delightful cocktails, and welcoming atmosphere, it will quickly become a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts. If you're looking for a dining experience that transcends the ordinary, get a table soon.

Incredible evening at Vue! Delicious food, beautiful setting and outstanding service. Cannot wait to go back! :)
Exquisite food. Fantastic views and wonderful atmosphere 🙏🏻 Lovely to sit down and enjoy the view over a bottle of bubbly!
For a new restaurant that only opened their doors a week ago, there didn't seem to be any teething problems. The waiters were welcoming, well trained, and presentable. Our party of 6 ordered a variety of small and large plates, each of which was beautifully presented and exceptionally tasty. Our firm favorites were the oyster starter and tuna ceviche. Although the menu states an oyster "trio," the plate is served with 5 oysters. We thoroughly enjoyed the gnocchi main and the ribeye, which was perfectly prepared. The side plate of potatoes was to die for! The space is well decorated, with comfy bucket chairs, and there's also bar counters and chairs overlooking the city street below. Great spot for sundowners!
